Why not try this I Love the 80s Workout Music Playlist
My workout music playlist needs a bit of an update but this time I’ve had a bit of a throw back to my youth; the 1980s! So it’s all school disco’s, questionable fashion sense, all things neon, Athena posters, Sony Walkman, Miami Vice, MTV, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and new romantics (well for me anyway).
All my workout music is available to purchase on iTunes and other online music stores such as Amazon and Spotify.

Happy New Year! It’s 2017 and a fresh start for me fitness wise after the usual over indulgence of Christmas. Do I feel at all guilty? Nope! Well just a little but isn’t that what Christmas is all about. So now it’s time to get back to the Gym and getting rid of those few extra pounds I’ve managed to pile on. So I’ve put together a new workout music playlist to help me get back into the swing of things. I’ve also put together a New Year Running Music Playlist, which is slightly more upbeat but just as good for the Gym.
Welcome to 2017! A brand spanking, new year! No more resolutions, instead I’m going to concentrate on monthly goal setting. It might give the opportunity to focus instead of just feeling overwhelmed by what needs doing or what I would like to achieve. My January goals are a mixture of blogging, fitness and home life So let’s just see how it goes!
Summer is well and truly over so it’s time for a change when it comes to my workout music; my last playlist was My Summer Workout Playlist. New fitness goals always coincide with the change in the seasons for me so what better excuse to update my playlist. So if you are after some workout music inspiration as always it’s 15 songs from me, which I’ve put together as an Infographic.
All the songs in my workout music playlists are available to purchase through iTunes and other online music stores such as Amazon.
New Gym Workout Playlist for the Summer is a must especially now that it’s countdown to my holiday in Cornwall. I’ve got a new gym programme, attempting to do 3 HIIT sessions a week and if time will throw in the odd 5km run (weather dependent as I’m a complete fair weather runner). So here’s my workout music for the summer.
It’s the start of summer. So a new month means a workout music for me to train to. Loving the light mornings. This time last year I tended to train early evening because I didn’t think I had time for a trip to the Gym first thing in the morning. Now is a different story. I get my gym kit ready the night before, get my post gym smoothiewhizzed up and put in the fridge, and set the alarm for 6am. Some days I will run especially if the sun is shining but I mainly do use this time of the day to get a training session in at the Gym.
Putting together a new workout playlist is always a great way to perhaps give you an extra bit of motivation at the gym. I try to change my workout music monthly and hit the shuffle button so it’s hard to second guess what’s coming up next. I generally like my music to be upbeat but I occasionally chuck a slow one in there just because I like that particular track.
I’ve put together an Infographic of my May 2016 workout music playlist, in case you are in need of a little inspiration.
All my workout playlist songs are available on iTunes and other online music stores such as Amazon.
Workout music can be a great motivator when you are exercising. It can help take your mind off the a particular exercise, push you on to train harder or even get you to concentrate more. To be honest I don’t always listen to music when I’m training but when I do I try and to mix up the music I listen to and am constantly putting together new playlists.
